FAQ

What should I expect during my first massage visit?

To relax! Massage therapy is all about you letting stress leave your body and let the body heal from the daily grind. When you arrive, I’ll ask general health questions to determine how the massage can best benefit you. I generally do a full body massage to find out how much stress your body is under.

For a full body massage, most people fully disrobe but if you are not comfortable with this, disrobe to what makes you feel comfortable. You are always covered with a sheet and there are two reasons for this:

  1. It is for your privacy as well as mine
  2. It is also for your warmth.

The nature of a massage is to move blood back towards the heart, as this is done the heart slows down and the body cools. My technique is firm but not invasive. If the pressure is too much, I can lighten up. Or if the pressure is not enough, I can deepen the massage.

This time is all about you, your comfort, and your healing.

What should I do during the massage?

This is a special time for you, a time when someone is paying complete attention to you. You should completely relax. If I need to adjust your position, allow me to do it, your purpose is to relax. Feel free to ask questions. Talk if you feel like or just enjoy your time of quiet healing.

What should I expect after?

You should feel very relaxed. We will discuss areas that need more work and concentration to continue your track to new health and comfort.

How long does the massage session last?

My massage therapy is a deep tissue technique. It takes time, and I care about actually fixing problems. Sessions aren’t timed exactly, but generally my massage lasts between an hour and an hour-and-a-half. This allows time for the body to be fully relaxed.

How much does a massage cost?

Prices vary whether the massage is at your house or mine. Please call me about price.
